Solid Colour Industrial is a seamless, high-build coating built for factories, warehouses and workshops. It is chemical resistant, easy to clean and cost-effective over large areas.

PU Cement (polyurethane cement) is a heavy-duty thermal-shock-resistant screed designed for commercial kitchens, cool rooms and wet environments where steam, hot water and grease are present.

Cure times vary significantly depending on the product, ambient temperature, humidity, film thickness and site ventilation. As a general guide:

• Standard epoxy: light foot traffic in 24–48 hours, full cure in 7 days
• Polyaspartic / rapid-cure systems: light foot traffic in 4–6 hours, full cure faster
• PU cement screeds: typically 24–48 hours before light traffic

We provide specific return-to-service guidance for your project once we know the product, environment and conditions. These timelines are estimates, your written quotation will confirm the expected cure schedule for your job.

Yes. We regularly work around shutdowns, night shifts and weekend windows for commercial kitchens, factories and retail spaces. We plan the project timeline in advance with contingencies so your operations are disrupted as little as possible. Rapid-cure systems can also reduce downtime where the schedule is tight, subject to site conditions and product suitability.

We handle all surface preparation as part of the job, mechanical diamond grinding to CSP 2–3, crack repair, oil stain treatment and moisture testing. You do not need to prep the floor yourself.

We only ask that the area is clear of loose items, stock and equipment so we can access the full surface. If you need help coordinating this, we can discuss it during the site assessment.

In most cases, no. Epoxy needs to bond directly to a sound, properly prepared concrete substrate. Existing coatings, tiles, sealers or paint must be removed through mechanical grinding or other approved methods before application.

Applying epoxy over an unsound surface is a shortcut that leads to delamination, bubbling and premature failure. We test the substrate during our site assessment and will tell you honestly what preparation is required, no guesswork.

Moisture is one of the leading causes of epoxy failure. We conduct relative humidity (RH) testing on every slab before coating. If moisture levels exceed the product's tolerance, we will recommend a moisture mitigation system or alternative specification.

Latent substrate conditions like moisture are addressed in our Terms & Conditions. If additional preparation or product upgrades are needed after testing, we will outline this in your quotation before work begins.

Standard high-gloss epoxy can be slippery when wet. That is why we offer slip-rated finishes compliant with AS 4586 for commercial and industrial environments where safety is critical.

Options include P3 and P4 anti-slip aggregates built into the topcoat, textured flake finishes and matte PU cement surfaces. We specify the right slip resistance for your environment, from dry warehouses to wet commercial kitchens.

Epoxy floors are low-maintenance but not no-maintenance. Regular dry sweeping or dust mopping removes abrasive grit. Damp mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner keeps the surface clean without damaging the coating.

Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive pads and strong acids unless the system was specifically specified for chemical exposure. We provide care instructions on completion, and proper maintenance helps protect your warranty coverage.

Yes. We provide a workmanship warranty on qualifying installations. The specific period, terms and exclusions are detailed in your accepted quotation and on our Warranty page.

The warranty covers defects in application and workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by substrate failure, moisture ingress, misuse, chemical attack beyond specification, or wear from traffic loads exceeding the system rating. We are transparent about these limitations before work begins.

PU cement (polyurethane cement) is a heavy-duty, trowel-applied screed designed for environments where standard epoxy coatings fail. Unlike epoxy, PU cement is engineered to withstand thermal shock, steam cleaning at 120°C+, and constant exposure to fats, oils, sugars and cleaning chemicals.

We recommend PU cement for:

• Commercial kitchens and restaurants
• Cool rooms, blast freezers and food processing plants
• Breweries, wineries and pharmaceutical facilities
• Loading docks and wash bays with heavy chemical exposure

PU cement is typically thicker (6–9mm), fully seamless with coved skirting options, and achieves R11–R13 slip ratings even when wet or greasy. It is HACCP-friendly and audit-ready for food safety compliance.
